Produced largely by longtime collaborator Hit-Boy, the album oozes luxury across 23 tracks. Diddy leans into his debonair charms with house-inspired grooves underpinning his slick lyrics of love and lust. Songs like "Gotta Move On" showcase Diddy's knack for catchy hooks over polished, danceable beats.

Features including Bryson Tiller and Joey Bada$$ add dimension, but this is truly Diddy's showcase. Tracks such as "There You Are" find him crooning tenderly with impressive melodic skill. Elsewhere he displays versatility, like the afrobeats-flavored "Mercy" which highlights his ability to morph styles.

The album clocks in at over 83 minutes, its only flaw being excessive length trying to Please everyone. Standouts amid the bloated tracklist include late-night seducer "Elevator" and comeback anthem "I Do" featuring artists of his label.

At its best moments, "Off The Grid" sees Diddy pouring emotion over luxurious contemporary R&B as he's done brilliantly throughout his decades-long career. Faithful fans will admire his intergenerational appeal, while casual listeners may lose steam by the end. A tight, 12-track cut distinguishing highlights could have crafted a modern classic.
